It is a solution with the problems of management
of production which to the companies from 1 to 100 paid software GPMI,
conceived by Joel Ollivier brings. This tool makes it possible
to take all the steps touching with the production: technical
data, estimate, calculation of the needs, purchases, calculation of
need or cost price, stocks, followed manufacture, management of
quality, etc. "I became aware during my occupation that the
management of production required heavy investments small industries.
I reflected on the possibility of writing and of conceiving an
adapted, simple software package of approach, at handsome price, with
quality ". A first version of GPMI was born in 1993. "A
the time, of new data-processing languages appeared, making it
possible to develop the program, while fitting within a Microsoft
framework". The first years of starting were those of the rise
to power and quality of the product, but with a more difficult
marketing: "the computer did not form part of the landscape
completely". Joel Ollivier decided into 1997 to entrust this
sector to a national distributor, for a five year old contract.
"That did not function. We were not over the same
wavelength. Their selling price was in particular well too high.
I very began again at zero beginning 2003". The first
measurement, a more accessible price: 500 euros for the
software (with versions with 100 and 200 euros according to the
number of stations), and a setting on line on the site 1dustrie.com
which meets a sharp success, thanks to the possibility of downloading
a version of test during 30 days. "the product is well ground.
It is conceived not to break down. The possible
dysfunctions "do not plant" not the system. GPMI, available in
bilingual version, is extremely complete, very easy to put in œuvre ". Its evolutions, required by the customers,
are downloadable. Maintenance is carried out in a very reactive
way. All is in place so that the product meets its target, which
can be the companies, but also the CAT and sheltered industries, for
which an adapted version was conceived. Joel Ollivier wishes
from now on to integrate new modules, in particular estimates
specialized by trade, and to use the software to develop other
products. |
